The department of Mathematics is one of the pioneer departments of the Women University Multan. The department has produced many graduates which are serving in various institutions both in Pakistan and world wide.
The department of mathematics is well equipped with bright and well trained faculty members to provide adequate coverage of the programs offers. Faculty members of mathematics department are active in teaching and research activities and have the necessary technical depth. The faculty members are well aware of market requirements and industrial collaborations.

BS Mathematics 4-year program
M.Phil Mathematics 2-Years Program

The purpose of these programs is to provide the essential knowledge and skills to the students related to Mathematics. The Department of Mathematics is highly motivated to offer P.hd in Mathematics very soon.

Vision

The department of Mathematics has a full eye on the world of the future, like Big Data, Artificial Intelligent, IOT etc. Pakistan must tap the power of mathematicians. The BS, M. phil and Ph.D Mathematics programs aims to prepare graduates and post graduates empowered with knowledge who are capable of innovative thinking and are able to apply Mathematical knowledge to real world problems.

Mission

The mission of the Department of Mathematics is to provide an environment where students can learn and become competent mathematicians. Moreover, the department will contribute to the development of students as mathematical thinkers by arranging Research events like Workshops and Seminars in the fields of mathematics to enable them to have lifelong learning, attain a continuous growth in their chosen professions, and to function as productive citizens as well as good mathematicians.

Objectives

The objective of the Department of Mathematics is.

Develop significant knowledge
Master the analytical and problem-solving skills required to evaluate and conduct research in interdisciplinary areas.
Develop skills to apply a range of mathematical tools for problem solving.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate the mathematical results in a clear and effective manner.
Demonstrate an ability to work effectively with other people from various academia and industrial backgrounds.
Demonstrate an understanding and concern for the high ethical standards in business research, teaching, and service.
Demonstrate the ability to teach higher-level courses.
