Seminar on Ramadan-ul-Mubarak: A Month of Spiritual Renewal, Mercy, and Divine Blessings
The Department of Islamic Studies and Arabic at Women University Multan organized a spiritually enriching seminar titled “Ramadan-ul-Mubarak: A Month of Spiritual Renewal, Mercy, and Divine Blessings.” The seminar aimed to welcome the holy month of Ramadan and highlight its spiritual, moral, and social significance in the light of Islamic teachings.
The seminar was graced by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Kalsoom Pracha, as the Guest of Honor and chief organizer. In her address, she emphasized that Ramadan is a divine opportunity for self-purification, moral reform, and strengthening one’s bond with Allah Almighty. She said that Ramadan is a month of immense blessings, mercy, and forgiveness, offering believers a valuable opportunity to strengthen their faith and reform their character. She encouraged students to utilize this sacred time for self-reflection, increased worship, and acts of kindness, and highlighted the importance of adopting Islamic values such as patience, compassion, and discipline in their personal and professional lives.
Distinguished Islamic scholar Prof. Dr. Saeed ur Rehman delivered an insightful lecture on the true essence and objectives of fasting. He explained that Ramadan serves as a means of attaining piety (Taqwa), self-control, and spiritual purification. He urged students to seek closeness to Allah Almighty through sincere worship, recitation of the Holy Quran, charity, and adherence to the teachings of the Sunnah.Chaipersom Department of Arabic BZU, Prof. Dr. Azra Parveen and other distinguished speakers also highlighted the spiritual and social dimensions of Ramadan, emphasizing forgiveness, unity, and empathy towards others. Prof.Dr. Munazzah Hayat, Director Institute of Islamic Studies BZU, in her address, highlighted the spiritual wisdom and transformative power of Ramadan. She emphasized that the holy month provides a unique opportunity for believers to purify their hearts, strengthen their faith, and develop self-discipline.
