One Day Workshop on“Unlocking Insights from Categorical Data Using SPSS

The Department of Economics, The Women University Multan, organized a One Day Workshop on “Unlocking Insights from Categorical Data Using SPSS” on 11 February 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Smart Classroom, L-Shape Building.

The workshop commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a Naat-e-Rasool (SAWW), setting a respectful and spiritual tone for the event. The session was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Kalsoom Pracha, Vice Chancellor, The Women University Multan. The workshop featured Mrs. Shahida Tabassum (Department of Statistics) as the Resource Person, who delivered an insightful and comprehensive session on analyzing categorical data using SPSS. The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of statistical techniques applicable to categorical data and to strengthen their practical skills in SPSS. The audience comprised BS 8th semester students, MPhil scholars and PhD researchers, reflecting strong academic engagement from multiple levels. The interactive session provided valuable learning opportunities for both undergraduate and postgraduate participants. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks by the Chairperson, Department of Economics, Prof. Dr. Hina Ali, who appreciated the efforts of the Resource Person and acknowledged the active participation of students and scholars. At the end of the session, certificates were distributed, and Prof. Dr. Hina Ali presented a certificate to the Resource Person, Mrs. Shahida Tabassum, in recognition of her valuable contribution.
