A seminar on “Childhood Trauma and Its Implications for Psychological Functioning and Mental Health” was organized by the Department of Applied Psychology at The Women University Multan in collaboration with ORIC. The resource person for the seminar was Dr. Asma Rashid, a researcher in clinical and developmental psychology. She holds a PhD from University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, Italy, and her research focuses on childhood trauma and its impact on emotion regulation, basic psychological needs, and mental health through empirical, experimental, and longitudinal research designs.
The seminar was attended by students and faculty members of the Department of Applied Psychology, along with Ms. Anum Zehra, Assistant Director ORIC. The session was moderated by Ms. Hina Saeed. The seminar was highly interactive, and students actively participated in the question-and-answer session.
The session proved to be very informative and beneficial for the participants, enhancing their understanding of the psychological impacts of childhood trauma and its implications for mental health and research.
At the end of the seminar, the Head of the Department of Applied Psychology, Dr. Sadia Musharraf, delivered the vote of thanks and distributed certificates to the resource person.
