Upgradation and Renovation of U- shape Building and Inauguration of Physics Department

Upgradation and renovation of U- shape building and inauguration of Physics department held today at Women University Multan by VC Prof Dr. Uzma Quraishi .The estimated cost was approximately 15 million for this project. The project comprises of renovation and upgradation of U shape building and construction of Dar uL Quran which has been completed, under annual development projects. The ceremony was organized by Department of Physics under the supervision of HoD Dr Malka Rani . All heads of teaching departments and administrative staff attended the ceremony. Addressing the ceremony VC Prof. Dr Uzma Quraishi congratulated the department and appreciated the performance of building department and PD office. She said that the projects are rapidly being completed in short span of time under the the funds released by government of Punjab. She further said that upgradation of Chemistry labs are also undergoing and we are working to setup first Centre of Excellence in this region.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Uzma Quraishi said that for the last three years we have been striving to improve the quality of education which enabled us to join the world rankings.The recent ranking of Times Higher Education Ranking 2022, the Women University Multan has been ranked in the world based on its performance in achieving long term development goals.

Later on, VC Prof Dr Uzma Quraishi inaugurated exhibition organized by Department of Physics. The student of BS, MPhil and PhD display their innovative projects under the supervision of Dr. Malka Rani . VC Prof Dr Uzma Quraishi visited the stalls and interacted with students and encourage their research skills. On the occasion Dr. Malka Rani (HoD department of Physics)said that department of Physics always strive to built research based project with modern lines and terms. She said that the research work of our students has been recognized on international level. The process of producing high quality research will be continued in future also.
