Dr Aqsa Parvaiz accomplished her PhD in Biotechnology from University of Agriculture Faisalabad and completed a part of research at Washington State University, US. She had been involved in development of transgenic sugarcane conferring resistance against biotic and abiotic stresses. She has hands-on-abilities in gene cloning, construct development, biolistic transformation and tissue culture of various crops and also been involved in expression analysis of different genes by following RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, qualitative PCR, quantitative PCR, cDNA library construction, library screening by Yeast-two hybrid system, protein-protein interaction by Biomolecular fluorescence complementation (BifC), SDS-PAGE and western blot analysis

• She has published over 16 research and review articles in renowned national and international journals and 8 book chapters.
• She is honored to be an HEC-approved Ph.D supervisor since 2022 and supervised several post-graduate students.
• She has presented her research work on various national and international platforms and has the privilege to organize various scientific events.
• Currently, She is the Editor of the Pakistan Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology (PJBB), which is published by WUM.
