Summary
- I hold a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from PMAS Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, with part of my research completed at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. My expertise lies in the identification and characterization of genes associated with various stresses. I am also deeply engaged in research on the formation, characterization, and evaluation of their potential in various applications including medicine, agriculture, and environmental remediation.
- I have published over 50 research articles and a book chapter in renowned national and international journals.
- Over the years, I have supervised 23 M.Phil Students, 3 BS and One Ph.D student. Currently I am supervising 2 Ph.D and 2 M.Phil students.
- I am honored to be an HEC-approved Ph.D. supervisor since 2017 and have had the privilege of organizing several scientific events at WUM.
- In addition to my teaching and research roles, I actively contribute to the scientific community as a member of various committees and international associations. I also serve as a reviewer and editorial board member for several prestigious scientific journals. Currently, I am the Editor of the Pakistan Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology (PJBB), which is published by WUM.
- Among my achievements, I am proud to receive the University Best Teacher Award in 2021, and 2022 and Appreciation certificates in 2020 and 2021. With over 7 years of experience at WUM, I continue to strive for excellence in teaching, research, and contributing to the advancement of biochemistry and biotechnology.
