Summary
- I am currently working as Academic Director Women University Multan and as WUM Journals Committee Incharge & Chairperson Doctoral Programme Committee, The Women University Multan. I remained Head of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, The Women University Multan from 2017-2022. I also worked as ORIC Director WUM from 2020-22.
- I hold a Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology from National Institute for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Islamabad, Pakistan. I am MPhil Gold Medalist from BZU.
- During My PhD I won one Indigenous HEC fellowship. Two International Competitive fellowship. One from French Government to Inserm Lab Paris. Second fellowship was for UCL London UK to complete my PhD.
- I also won postdoc award from PHEC and completed my postdoc research with Emeritus Professor Dr Steve Humphries in UCL London UK from 2018-2019.
- My expertise lies in Nano technology, Synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles,. Microbiology studies for biofertilizer and screening of best bacterial strains and bioremediation. Genetic studies on diabetes and cancer.
- I won one NRPu research award in 2022 and my project is running. Along with I completed five projects of research including SRGP and others.
- I have published over 43 research articles and four book chapters in renowned national and international journals.
- Over the years, I have supervised 27 M.Phil Students, 7 BS and One Ph.D student. Currently I am supervising 4 Ph.D and 3 M.Phil students.
- I am honored to be an HEC-approved Ph.D. supervisor since 2017 and have had the privilege of organizing several scientific events at WUM. Along with I guide other Departments as organizer for conference. Conducted seminars on Journals and project management as focal person.
- In addition to my teaching and research roles, I actively contribute to the scientific community as a member of various committees and international associations. I also serve as a reviewer and editorial board member for several prestigious International scientific journals. Currently, I am the Chief Editor of the Pakistan Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology (PJBB), which is published by WUM.
- Among my achievements, I am proud to receive the ORIC Director appreciation award in 2020, 2021, and 2022. Also appreciation certificate as Academic Director in 2023. With over 9.5 years of experience at WUM, I continue to strive for excellence in teaching, research, and contributing to the advancement of biotechnology and biochemistry
